Prices are real quotes captured from each provider's own site for identical dates, all-in (rent, utilities where billed, service and cleaning fees, damage waivers, taxes). ## Quick answers ### What does CompareFurnished measure? We run our own measurement on our own domain. When you use the site we record: the pages you view, the page that referred you, your interactions with the product (searches, stay-length changes, sorts, filters, map use, comparisons, and which provider you click out to, including the price shown), your country as reported by our CDN, and whether you are on mobile or desktop. Each browser tab gets a random session id that exists only for that tab session; it identifies a visit, not a person. ### What does CompareFurnished not collect? No names, no email addresses, no accounts. We do not store your IP address in our analytics. Our own measurement sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or social widgets. We do not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act). The one third-party tool on the site is Google's advertising measurement tag, described in the next section. ### How is advertising measured? We advertise on Google, and we use Google's measurement tag (gtag.js) to report one thing back to Google Ads: that a visit which started from one of our ads led to a click out to a provider. To connect the ad click to that action, Google may set and read its own cookies on this site. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; you can control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and browsers with tracking protection or ad blockers will simply block the tag, which does not affect anything on this site. We send Google no names, emails, or other personal details, because we do not have any. When you arrive from one of our ads, the ad click identifier Google appends to the link (the "gclid") is kept in your browser's per-tab session storage and recorded with our own click measurements, and it rides along if you click through to Landing. Its only use is connecting an ad click to a resulting booking so we know which ads pay for themselves; it identifies a click, not a person, and it is discarded with the session. Consent for these cookies is managed by our consent platform (Osano): use the cookie preferences control on the site to review or change your choices at any time.
